Hello
About Me:
As an artist and educator, I believe art has the power to transform perspectives and foster self-discovery. My teaching philosophy centers on creating an inclusive environment where all students feel inspired to explore their identities and engage with meaningful topics. Through inclusive language, diverse examples, and dynamic instruction, I aim to make art accessible and encourage students to take creative risks.
My artistic practice explores the interplay between humanity and technology, addressing issues like the “doom scrolling epidemic” and its impact on attention spans. I primarily work with clay, drawn to its tactile and interactive qualities, which invite viewers to engage with my pieces in a three-dimensional, immersive way. This passion for form began in childhood and has evolved into award-winning projects that combine clay and pencil to explore movement and societal themes.
Ultimately, I strive to inspire critical thinking and self-expression, both in the classroom and through my art. By fostering collaboration and reflection, I aim to help others see art not just as a subject, but as a powerful tool for understanding and engaging with the world.
